I and some other Greens will be going along to the next big local talking shop on climate change.
Following on from the Council (finally) signing the Nottingham Declaration last year, and issuing a carbon management plan, the Local Strategic Partnership is getting people together to see how we're all doing. They're calling this one the Big Foot conference. It's on 23rd October in Harpenden.
I was disappointed last time that there was so much ill-informed chat and not enough action. We are still waiting for significant action from our elected representatives to actually reduce the district's carbon footprint. Let's hope this conference is more practical - watch this space.
